NICERFL
Content (and overall) redesign of a 6-year-old website.
OVERVIEW
NicerFL was accepted into the Hello Neighbor nonprofit network and wanted to revamp their website in response to the expected increase in traffic.
BUSINESS CONTEXT
Users had a hard time navigating the website, and the business was struggling to attract
PROBLEMS
There were a lot of problems here (see pictures below). In a general sense, the website just needed an overhaul. Content needed to be simplified.
SOLUTION
-
Added clarifying microcopy to the form to remove friction points and abolish guesswork.
-
Designed and tested a verification screen to help user understand next steps.
-
Made it easier for users to get to the contact form.
IMPACT
-
More consistent information for the stakeholder.
-
We also measured time to completion rates, pitting results from the original form with our redesigned one. We saw a decrease in the amount of time it took based upon clarifying microcopy and updated information architecture.
-
User satisfaction scores rose, with all of our paricipants preferring our redesigned form over the original one.
ORIGINAL SCREENS
I won't include every page, but you'll find some examples of the pages below.
Their original "What We Do" page. Most pages were like this. A lot of necessary information, just not delivered in an accessible way to users, especially considering most users weren't native English speakers.
